Former Canucks defenceman Doug Lidster has confirmed he is returning to Vancouver to serve as an assistant coach under new bench boss Willie Desjardins.
Lidster, who played for the Canucks from 1983 to 1993, worked on Desjardins’ staff with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars.
